MANCHESTER (AP) — Australia batsman David Warner could return for the third Ashes test against England after rejoining the team in training. Warner was fined and banned by Cricket Australia last month for hitting England batsman Joe Root in a late-night incident in a bar.
However, the 26-year-old Warner scored 193 for Australia A against their South African counterparts in Pretoria last week. Warner was also involved in another altercation and had to be separated from opponent Thami Tsolekile by another player and the two umpires. England has dominated the Ashes series so far and is leading 2-0 following victories at Trent Bridge and Lord's. The third Ashes test starts at Old Trafford in Manchester.
