Pakistan to host T20 Blind World Cup in 2018

Former Pakistani pace spearhead Shoaib Akhtar stated that Pakistan are honored to play host to the 2018 edition of World T20 for blind cricketers. While, the same will be hosted by India in 2017.

The speedster labeled the opportunity as a great one. “Happy to note that 2018 T20 WC for my visually challenged brothers could be hosted by Pakistan, albeit in Dubai,” Shoaib Akhtar tweeted.

While, the international fixtures in Pakistan had been made redundant, following the attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009. “I’d have loved to see T20 WC for visually challenged being played in my Pakistan. Hopefully, there is a change of mind in the year 2018,” he tweeted.

Akhtar hopes that Pakistani team gets a fair chance to play the 2017 t20 blind World Cup in India next year. “India to host 2017 T20 WC for the blind. Hope Pakistan plays here. Hope those who have eyes have heart too that beats for those who can't see,” Shoaib tweeted.
