Hardik Pandya stuns South Africa, gives his best shot in the fifth ODI

Criticism was coming his way after he let go chances in the Test series and four ODI matches . Hardik Pandya was more discussed about his funky hairdo ranging from blond style to blue hair in the recent times. However, it was all about performance in the fifth match, where he contributed in the bowling department, picking key wickets of AB de Villiers and JP Duminy. When South Africa lost their first wicket, the trouble was far from over for Men in Blue with AB and JP Duminy waiting to launch an assault. The introduction of Hardik by Indian skipper Virat Kohli had an immediate impact. De Villiers was dismissed without getting his eyes in, while JP Duminy was sent back packing the moment he came to the crease.

The nine overs bowled by the Indian all-rounder yielded two wickets at the expense of thirty runs. He took an extraordinary one handed catch of Tabraiz Shamsi to demonstrate eye catching fielding skills. It was impossible to keep him away from cameras as he kept lurking in, stopping rivals from gaining any sort of momentum. Virat was amazed to see Hardik giving it back to critics in his own distinctive style. Rohit Sharma was awarded Man of the Match but it was Hardik’s bowling, which turned the game in India’s favor.
