Dravid behind Billing’s ability to play spin

England batsman Sam Billings has etched a spot in the upcoming limited overs fixtures against India, having performed well in the Big Bash League this year.

Billings scored an emphatic 93 to carve out victory for England in the first of two warm games against India A. He lauded Dravid for having delivered significant lessons on playing spin. “My footwork against spin improved just in the six weeks here working with Rahul Dravid, one of the best players ever to play the game. It’s an amazing experience and one I would like to have again,” Sam Billings said.

Speaking about Kuldeep Yadav who scalped a 5 wicket haul in the match, he said, “He’s a good bowler, isn’t he? He’s there for a reason playing in a very good side. He howled brilliantly. The other (Yuzvendra Chahal who took one wicket with orthodox leg spin) played in IPL, didn’t he? They are two very good spinners, but it’s going to be tough for them to get in the (India) side behind (Ravichandran) Ashwin and (Ravindra) Jadeja, but promising signs as well.”
